Why California's Ban On Plastic Grocery Bags Delayed

Greetings & Salutations,

I've decided to try and provide some news tidbits about what's happening on the green scene, locally. Local for me that is, since I reside in sunny California.

California's Plastic Bag Ban On Hold

It looks like California residents are awaiting the results of a pending lawsuit about plastic grocery carrier bags. Although it is Oakland California that has the pending suit, the final outcome may actually affect other states as well. This suit is surrounding the huge issue of banning single-use plastic bags, and also what role single-use paper bags should play in all this. You can read the details about this story and pick a side, or a bag, or not.

In order to be in a better position to do your part for green living, try to stay abreast of related issues. There is so much going on in the area of green living, it may seem overwhelming to try and keep up, so just try to at least know what's going on in your own locality. This way, you can continue to use your imagination to think of additional, yet practical ideals, to help you save, conserve, reuse and recycle.
